The Band's Recent 'The Voyage Continues: Highway 45' Tour Ranks As Pollstar Magazine's 'Top 20' Grossing Concert Tours This Year
Los Angeles, CA—WaterTower Music recently announced the soundtrack lineup for Johnny Depp’s new film “Dark Shadows,” which will feature The Moody Blues’ legendary classic hit, “Nights And White Satin,” as the lead track. The album will be released on May 8, and the film starring Depp, Chloe Moretz, Thomas McDonnel, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bella Heathcoate and Eva Green, opens on May 11 by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film’s soundtrack will also include songs by Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, T. Rex and Barry White, to name a few.
The release comes on the heels of The Moody Blues’ recently completed 32-city U.S. tour across the East Coast titled “The Moody Blues: The Voyage Continues – Highway 45,” which was one of the Top 20 (#17) grossing tours this year according to Pollstar Magazine. The tour celebrated the 45th Anniversary of their landmark album DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED. “Nights In White Satin” was originally released from the DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED album and marked one of the first four minute songs played on the radio, continuing on to become one of the biggest selling singles in history, and hitting #1 three separate times on Billboard.
The band will travel to South Africa for two performances on May 30 in Capetown, S.A. at Capetown Grand Arena, and on June 1 in Johannesburg, S.A. at The Dome.
